Awareness Programs: for prevention and early detection of lung cancer
Media: We will son launch a media campaign about our cause, focusing on driving support to our events, and making the public more aware about the ways to prevent, detect and cure lung cancer.
Tar Wars: A program for fifth graders exploring the hazards of smoking, so as to prevent young people from smoking and decreasing the risk of lung cancer.
Flowers for Life Outreach Program: easing the suffering of people and families affected by lung and other cancers. Marilyn was fortunate to be surrounded by family, friends and flowers during her illness, which gave her strength. Our outreach program enlists volunteers to take the flowers we provide and visit people suffering from cancer in local hospitals, and to brighten their days with flowers, prayers and words of strength and healing. We also provide help, when & where we can, to assist families with loved ones suffering from lung and other cancers in hospitals in our area. For information or to volunteer, see our Volunteer page.
Research & Development: funding new & integrative techniques for prevention, detection & treatment of lung cancer.
Resources: During Marilyn's battle with lung cancer, we did lots of online research and found very little positive, pertinent information relating directly to lung cancer. We did find some excellent sources for alternative and integrated cures, and they are listed on our Resource Page.
