Our Events: "Walk Through The Flowers" Marilyn S. Kitchen Lung Cancer Awareness Walk: Anyone who knew Marilyn knows how important her exercise was to her, especially her walking. Because this kind of exercise is very helpful in promoting great health and longevity, we are organizing and annual 10K walk/run in her honor. On the day of Marilyn's passing, March 12th, the flowers exploded into bloom. We will hold our event in the spring of each year, when the flowers are at their fullest and brightest. Flowers For Life Art Auction: Each year we will hold an auction of art, donated by local artists, to raise funds for our work. The theme for the works of art will be flowers, since flowers were an ever-present, very significant part of Marilyn's life. The event will be held each year in November, near the time of Marilyn's birthday. |
